Cambodia

Our work in Cambodia focuses on supporting the Royal Government of Cambodia (RGC) on capacity building on the Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) process. SEA is a systematic and participative process that aims to ensure that environmental and social considerations are incorporated in the planning and decision-making above the project level (i.e., policy, planning, and programming levels). Training will be provided to relevant RGC officials within the General Directorate of Policy and Strategy, and the National Council for Sustainable Development under the Ministry of Environment, as well as officials from the Ministry of Energy and Ministry of Public Works and Transport on how to conduct and integrate the SEA process into planning and decision-making for the energy and transportation sectors.
